What Are Mobile Crisis Services?

24/7/365 Phone and On-Site Support

Distraught Person Holding Mobile Phone

Serving Crawford County, Pennsylvania

Mobile crisis services are community-based, on-site mental health intervention services with the goal of de-escalating and stabilizing an emergent situation. The team, which could include mental health providers, law enforcement, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), or other agencies, would also help to provide connections and resources for ongoing support.

If a crisis situation can’t be resolved by phone, the mobile crisis professionals can come to you. These professionals will provide on-site crisis support in your home, school, workplace, or other safe location. By using the knowledge and support of mental health professionals through mobile crisis services, we are able to provide trauma-informed care and a person-centered approach to the parties in need of immediate mental health assistance. The benefits from having mobile crisis services available includes:

  • reduction of unnecessary ER visits and hospital admissions
  • a decrease in law enforcement involvement for behavioral crises
  • enhancements to community safety and well-being
  • rapid, but compassionate care in an individual’s environment
  • long-term engagement with mental health services

Our professionals work to provide compassionate and immediate care that promotes safety, dignity, and recovery for all. As other health services do, we maintain confidentially for those treated.
