Short-term Hospitalization for Mental Health Needs
About our Facility
The Inpatient Mental Health Unit, sometimes abbreviated as IPMH, is a 28-bed facility at Grove Street that is designed to meet the specific needs of individuals experiencing psychological challenges. Our unit provides psychiatric services for adolescents ages 14 years and older, adults and seniors in a structured, safe, homelike environment for individuals requiring short-term hospitalization.
Our trained mental health professionals, which include psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other professionals assist you during your stay. Services are provided regardless of race, sex, or financial status. Conference rooms are available for family members and referral agencies. The Inpatient Mental Health Unit is accredited by the State of Pennsylvania. It is nationally accredited by Department of Health and the DNV.
Whole Person Approach
Our mental health programs address the needs of the whole person — medically and psychologically. In a highly supportive environment, each patient participates in an individually tailored course of therapy. Staff directed counseling, group therapy, planned activities and family involvement are combined throughout the treatment process. From the initial assessment to the day of discharge, our goal is always the same; to rehabilitate the whole person so they may return to a more satisfying and productive life.
