Specimen Requirements:
Serum:
1 yellow-top SST tube (minimum: 1.0 mL of serum). Centrifuge SST 30 minutes after draw. Refrigerate specimen after collection.
NOTE: SERUM SAMPLE MUST BE COLLECTED DURING THE 24-HOUR URINE COLLECTION.
Urine:
Submit an entire 24-hour urine collection in a urine container supplied by Meadville Medical Center Laboratory. No preservative is required. Refrigerate specimen during and after collection. See “Urine Collection” for 24-hour urine specimens.
NOTE: Refer to “Patient Information” section in back of manual for patient handout explaining collection information for this test.
