Useful For: Vitamin B2 is involved in metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, and protein. The clinical manifestations of deficiency are non-specific. Clinical manifestations include mucocutaneous lesions of the mouth and skin, corneal vascularization, anemia, and personality changes.

Methodology: High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Fluorometric Detection

Specimen Requirements: 1 lavender-top (EDTA) tube (minimum: 0.5 mL of EDTA plasma). Centrifuge lavender-top within 30 minutes after draw. Wrap tube in foil to protect from light. Send specimen frozen in plastic vial.

Analytical Time: 3 days
