Methodology: Electrophoresis
Specimen Requirements:
1 yellow-top SST tube (minimum: 1 mL of serum). Centrifuge SST 30 minutes after draw. Store specimen at room temperature after collection.
NOTE:
• DO NOT FREEZE.
• CSF is unacceptable specimen for this test.
• Patient’s age and sex are required on request form for proper interpretation.
• Avoid hemolysis.
