Jason Wayne Brown, MD
Director of Medical Oncology
Dr. Brown earned his doctor of medicine from MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine,
Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Brown completed his internship and residency training
at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, PA. He completed
his fellowship in hematology / oncology at the University of Pittsburgh,
Pittsburgh, PA.. Dr. Brown is board certified in internal medicine, hematology
and medical oncology.
Calvin Han, MD
Hematologist & Oncologist
Dr. Han earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of
Medicine in Saint Louis, Missouri. He completed both his residency training
and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the Albert Einstein College
of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He is certified by the Internal Board
of Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians, and
the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Han is board certified
in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology.
Thomas Young, MD
Hematologist & Oncologist
Dr. Young earned his doctor of medicine from Temple University School of
Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He served both his internship
and residency training at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania;
and completed fellowship training in hematology and medical oncology at
the University Hospitals of Cleveland in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Young is
board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology.
Jennifer Orzano-Birgani, MD
Hematologist & Oncologist
Dr. Birgani, earned her doctor of medicine from Georgetown University School
of Medicine in Washington DC. She served her residency training at Mount
Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach Florida; and completed fellowship training
in hematology and medical oncology at the National Cancer Institute, Bethesda
MD and National Naval Medical Center, in Bethesda MD. Dr. Birgani is board
certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology.
Gurleen Pasricha, MD
Hematologist & Oncologist
Dr. Pasricha graduated from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, India. She
completed her Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship
with West Penn Allegheny Health System at Allegheny General Hospital in
western Pennsylvania. Dr. Pasricha is board certified in internal medicine,
hematology and medical oncology.
Eric Svenson, MD
Radiation Oncology
Dr. Svenson received his undergraduate degree in Physics from Duke University,
Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and his medical degree from the U. of
Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. He did his rotating internship
at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (U. of Virginia Affiliated), and
his residency and fellowship at M.D. Anderson Hospital & Tumor Institute,
U. of Texas System Cancer Center in Houston. He is board certified in
Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology, and was appointed
Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at Northeast Ohio Medical University
in Rootstown.
Brian Karlovits, DO
Radiation Oncologist
Dr. Karlovits received his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic
Medicine, Kirksville, Mo., completed his internship in transitional medicine
at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, and graduated from the Naval Aerospace
Medical Institute, Pensacola Fl, as a Naval Flight Surgeon. He completed
his residency in radiation oncology at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Specializing in a variety of radiation treatment techniques, Dr. Karlovits
has joined the Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute from the Hillman Cancer
Center, UPMC Shadyside where he was clinical director of radiation oncology.
Talal Khan, MD
Hematologist & Oncologist
Dr. Khan received his Batchelor of Medicine, Batchelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.)
from Shifa College in Islamabad, Pakistan. He completed his fellowship
at the University of Toledo specilizing in hematology and oncology. His
residency was completed at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA
specializing in internal medicine. Dr. Khan has joined the Yolanda Barco
Oncology Institute.
