Mobile Psychiatric Nursing Program
Behavioral Health Services at Our Meadville Hospital
Our mobile psychiatric nursing program at Meadville Medical Center (MMC)
is committed to providing help for adults with serious mental illness
to manage their medications. This program is part of our
behavioral health services department at MMC. Our program’s goal is to improve independence
with managing psychiatric medications. This can result in a decrease in
symptoms, as well as reduction of risk of crisis situations and a reduction
in inpatient hospitalizations.
Mobile Psychiatric Nursing Program Services
The services of our mobile psychiatric nursing program include the following:
- Home visits by experienced psychiatric nurses
- Medication teaching
- Medication monitoring
- Administration of injections, as ordered
- Coordination of care with physician, pharmacist, community agencies and
family support systems

Our office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
