Procedures Performed in the Cardiac Care Center
The physician who ordered your cardiac procedure should provide you with
all the specific appointment and preparation guidelines. If special preparation
is needed, you will be contacted by one of our cardiac nurses the day
before your test. The latest nuclear stress tests, echocardiography, interventional
cardiology, and other diagnostic services are available in the Cardiac
Care Center. The Cardiac Care Center is also pleased to announce the recent
addition of a cardiac computerized tomography (CT) scanner. During a CT
scan, which is a painless test that produces clear pictures of the heart,
an X-ray machine moves around the patient and takes pictures of every
part of the patient's heart.
