Family Medicine Residency

A supportive and diverse place to learn and grow. Residents are taught
to deliver evidence based, cost-effective healthcare, while developing
strong ties to their communities. Self-study and independent learning
are supported and encouraged, with a full lecture schedule each week and
guided learning experiences assigned monthly. Meadville offers the unique
ability to work in a rural community hospital with access to a full roster
of specialists who have a strong passion for education.
Family Practice Residency Program
- PGY 1 Salary: $47,476.00
- PGY 2 Salary: $48,975.68
- PGY 3 Salary: $49,976.16
- Chief Resident Stipend: $300 per month
- One time moving allowance of $500.00
- CME allowance of $500, $750, and $1000 in your first, second and third
years respectively Affordable Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance is
provided for the residents and their families

The Residency Lounge provides a spacious environment away from the busy hospital floors, with
five private on-call rooms, four personal computers, a quiet study with
numerous journals and texts, and a fully equipped webinar center for lectures
and conferences. Morning reports are held on a daily basis and noon conferences
held throughout the week. Twelve o’clock Sharp presentations frequently
bring in sub-specialists from the nearby world-renowned Cleveland Clinic
or UPMC Health Systems and are broadcast to the numerous rural health
centers in the area.
