Meadville, PA. - Meadville Medical Center (MMC) reinforced today its commitment
to the Conneautville community since the fire that occurred on February
27th destroying the Conneaut Valley Health Center.
The medical center is in the process of analyzing all options which will
take several months, but remains committed to providing healthcare services
at 906 Washington Street, the site of the former health center.
Arrangements have been made to continue serving patients from Conneautville
at other locations in Conneaut Lake, Meadville, Cambridge Springs and
Saegertown until the new facility is in place.
Eligible patients needing assistance with transportation are encouraged
to contact the Medical Assistance Transportation Program at 814-333-7090.
CATA also provides bus services between Conneautville and Meadville on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
"A special thank you must be given to everyone who has assisted patients
and employees during this difficult time. I look forward to the day when
we can begin serving patients again in the Conneautville community,"
commented Mike Downing, Chief Executive Officer of Community Health Services,
a subsidiary of MMC which operates the health system's rural health clinics.
