We welcome visitors and know that they mean
a lot to our patients, but the patient's
welfare is our first concern. Because so
many things have to be done to provide the
proper care and treatment for our patients,
we have established visiting hours which
will minimize conflicts with the patient's
program of care and rest.
For the comfort and safety of both our
patients and visitors we ask that the
following guidelines be observed:
- Meadville Medical Center is a tobacco-free
institution. No smoking will be permitted.
- Visitors should be quiet for the good of
the people they are visiting as well as
other nearby patients.
- Food and refreshments may not be given to a
patient without consent of the attending
physician, nurse or personnel on the unit.
- Visitors should leave the room promptly
when treatment is to be given.
- Visitors should not sit on the patient's
bed.
- Any visitor causing a disturbance or being
disruptive will be asked to leave.
- Children should be closely supervised at
all times.
