What are the Highmark Projects?
The Highmark QualityBLUE Pay-for-Performance Program is a partnership between Highmark and hospitals with the common goal of improving patient care and safety. The QualityBLUE program focuses on key healthcare quality issues that have been identified nationally as areas of opportunity for improvement. A standardized set of quality indicators has been established to address each issue. Programs are evaluated twice per year using defined, standardized performance metrics. These standardized indicators allow MMC’s data to be compared with that of other participating hospitals to rate our performance.
