Family Medicine Residency
A supportive and diverse place to learn and grow. Residents are taught to deliver evidence based, cost-effective healthcare, while developing strong ties to their communities. Self-study and independent learning are supported and encouraged, with a full lecture schedule and guided learning experiences assigned monthly. Meadville offers the unique ability to work in a rural community hospital with access to a full roster of specialists who have a strong passion for education.
Family Practice Residency Program
PGY 1 Salary: $45,000
PGY 2 Salary: $46,500
PGY 3 Salary: $47,500
Chief Resident Stipend: $300 per month
One time moving allowance of $500.00
CME allowance of $500, $750, and $1000
in your first, second and third years respectively Affordable Health, Dental, and Vision
Insurance is provided for the residents and their families
Paid membership dues to the AOA and ACOFP
Personalized white coats are provided for each resident

The Residency Lounge provides a private oasis from the busy hospital floors, with five private on-call rooms, four personal computers, a quiet study with numerous journals and texts, and a fully equipped webinar center for lectures and conferences. Morning reports are held on a daily basis and noon conferences held throughout the week. Twelve o’clock sharp presentations frequently bring in sub-specialists from the nearby world-renowned Cleveland Clinic and are broad¬cast to the numerous rural health centers in the area.
Rural Underserved Continuity Clinic in Conneautville, PA
The clinic, located approximately 15 miles from MMC, offers 10 exam rooms with a spacious waiting room.

Numerous in-office procedures including EKG capabilities, spirometry, on-site laboratory, gynecologic care, joint injections, OMT treatments, lesion excisions, and laceration repairs.
Private resident office with personal computers.

Many opportunities for continuity of inpatient to outpatient care.
Multi-generational care with a broad spectrum of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Every good physician must first become a great generalist and Meadville Medical Center’s AOA Internship will provide you with that basis. The training that you will obtain in your intern year at Meadville will serve as an excellent backbone no matter what your final career path may be. Medical education at Meadville fully supports your goals and will work with you to structure your intern year to best achieve your future plans.
